Brand new K2 HE not working
I missed your requirements about needing to fit into Keychron's QMK boards. That's the "terrible software..." bit. :( Yeh, I'm familiar with Sunder, not only is it super expensive, but it's also out of stock as is normal for limited run custom kit. There was someone in OLKB who was working on open s

J2 HE 8k, K2 HE, or custom build?
They both have QMK firmware, which is a huge advantage over most magnetic boards, and means you don't need to go through any shenanigans other than possibly tweaking UDEV permissions on Linux. They said the J2 source code would be online in their Github soon. The K2 HE code is already there: https:/

Looking for a best mechanical keyboard 2026
Anything with QMK firmware, it's 2026, there's so many great keyboards with QMK firmware it seems a shame to put up with proprietary firmware restrictions and weirdness. Keychron: I have a K2 Pro and it's a lovely tank. I have a couple of J2s and have been hacking on the firmware. The Q and V have h

Recommendations for wireless compact keyboard?(non mechanical)
I would suggest a Keychron J series board (they came from an acquisition of another company and seem to avoid the quality problems of their mainstream lines) and replace the switches with silent switches, Outemu Silent Yellow Jade are good.

New to Hall Effect- opinions?
Keychron has two brand new magnetic boards on Amazon recently, which is why there are no reviews. The J2 HE is based on the Jamesdonkey J2 case, and the J8 HE seems to be the Keychron V1 case. I expect the PCBs and firmware are similar to the other Keychron magnetic boards... I would go with the J2,

Aula F75 Pro or Keychron J8 HE? Or something else under/around 100?
The J2HE and J8HE are brand new boards , they're not even on Keychron's website yet let alone reviewed. TMR does not mean that you have dual mode (Magmech) sockets, you need to have TMR sensors to make dual mode sockets but the reverse is not the case. And Keychron does not make boards with dual mod

Brand new K2 HE not working
The J2/J8 HE aren't even ZMK, they're completely proprietary. :( This seems to be the case with the HE 8K boards, too. It's a massive bummer. It's also baffling, because Keychron is stacking up a bunch of tech debt by not just sticking to one system. ZMK is cool, because it lets you store layouts on

Wireless Keyboard without proprietary software
Keychron appear to be the only wireless option with full source. They have a custom fork of VIA (which they really should release the source to, since VIA is GPL3, but they probably won't) but their QMK boards still work perfectly with the real thing... including the standard layout features of thei

Gamakay TK75 HE V2 LED off
Get a refund and get something else. I have the v1 and it's not bad, for a proprietary board. Bit of a cherry profile conflict but that was easily fixed. Gamakay support wanted to upgrade me to a v2 but I refused after finding out it uses the fraudulent Attack Shark website for configuration. Do not
