Perhaps it depends on the (main) keyboard firmware version? If you can get hold of the keyboard firmware file, you don't need anything else from Keychron (for flashing). There is Keychron C3 pro which appears to be QMK/VIA, but it's not hot swappable I'm also thinking about the Ajazz Ak820 max which is hot-swappable, but I'm not sure about its latency and if it is QMK/VIA (Both are around $65)
