Beolab 8s vs KEF LSX II for desk + future living room setup?

I have both. One set of Beolab 8 in my bedroom and one set as rear speakers to my Beovision Theatre in the living room. The Kef LSX II is used as desktop speakers in my office. Like @matteventu wrote above, the Beolab 8 are more similar to LS 50 Wireless II than LSX. The Beolab 8 can play louder and

Is there any Sound System/TV Soundbar that's Google Home compatible?

Check any products with "Google Cast" (formerly known as "Chromecast built-in"). Avoid those that don't have it, i.e. Sonos, most Samsung, recent Sony Bravia soundbars, etc, even if they claim support for "Google Home". Some examples of soundbars that integrate nicely into a Google Home ecosystem by

New post as I’ve narrowed my search to these two speakers

"The KEF LS50 Wireless II and B&W Formation Duo speakers have Tidal Connect, allowing you to stream directly from the Tidal app to the speakers. This feature lets you use the Tidal app as the controller and stream music at lossless quality, including support for MQA and Dolby Atmos. " "How it works:

Trying to decide between my first pair of KEF speakers, currently debating Q1/Q3 metas + WiiM amp or Coda W’s, need help in deciding

I’m a big fan of KEF Wireless speaker systems. You only need source components! NO NEED to buy amps or preamps! Do you have/want a turntable? If not, take a look at the LSX IIs or even the LS50 Wireless II (the bonus of not spending on electronics!) I have LSX v1 and KUBE 10b sub. Great little speak

LS50 Wireless II vs R3 Meta — and WII M Ultra Amp vs Audio Vectar QR3 SE?

Had both R3 and LS50. To get the best out of R3, you need a serious amp way more than Wii M Ultra will provide. I have test amps between $900 all the way to $8000 for reference. Given this, LS50 Wireless II would he the best choice imo. Due to amp requirements for R3 to sound good. LS50 wireless off

New streaming amp, speakers or something else?

honestly those b&w 601s are classics but 25 years is a good run. speakers will give you the biggest sound change at this point. the kef ls50 wireless ii would be dead simple - just stream direct. or if you love the 601s, a cambridge audio evo 150 would wake them up and let you keep them. both are ar

Upgrade Recs Please!

Get a used pair of KEF LS50 Wireless II to simplify your entire setup or if you want to keep the Peachtree amp then go for a used KEF LS50 Meta. After that, I would get a subwoofer like the SVS 3000 Micro.

Dedicated stereoset for listening to vinyl records €7500 - €8500

The first thing to note is that our hearing looses the higher frequencies as we age. Anything above 110 or 12KHz might not be heard. What affect that has in listening to hi-fi and music I am not sure, but what I could hear when I researched my first systems is not what I can now hear. The original i

Do active designs exist which save on space AND on cables? Yup, for example Wi-Fi speakers such as KEF LS50 Wireless II. These are truly active (four built-in power amplifiers per stereo pair) AND they get their signal via WiFi. They need one power cord per speaker but can do without signal cables..

2 bookshelf speakers and a subwoofer

Please note that Bluetooth is inherently pretty bad connection method for audio. The bandwidth isn’t enough to transmit lossless audio. So, ot is compressed in a lossy way (especially the default SBC codec). Also it adds lag, therefore it’s not great for use in conjunction with video (i.e. your proj
