Beolab 8s vs KEF LSX II for desk + future living room setup?

I have both. One set of Beolab 8 in my bedroom and one set as rear speakers to my Beovision Theatre in the living room. The Kef LSX II is used as desktop speakers in my office. Like @matteventu wrote above, the Beolab 8 are more similar to LS 50 Wireless II than LSX. The Beolab 8 can play louder and

Is there any Sound System/TV Soundbar that's Google Home compatible?

Check any products with "Google Cast" (formerly known as "Chromecast built-in"). Avoid those that don't have it, i.e. Sonos, most Samsung, recent Sony Bravia soundbars, etc, even if they claim support for "Google Home". Some examples of soundbars that integrate nicely into a Google Home ecosystem by

Beolab 8s vs KEF LSX II for desk + future living room setup?

Beolab 8 compete with KEF LS50 Wireless II, not with LSX II. Between BL8 and LSX II at technical level, there's no comparison whatsoever, the BL8 are way better - that is, aside from personal preferences in sound signature. Between LS50 Wireless II and Beolab 8, the choice becomes more difficult...

New post as I’ve narrowed my search to these two speakers

"The KEF LS50 Wireless II and B&W Formation Duo speakers have Tidal Connect, allowing you to stream directly from the Tidal app to the speakers. This feature lets you use the Tidal app as the controller and stream music at lossless quality, including support for MQA and Dolby Atmos. " "How it works:

From q150 to ls50 ii

Slick setup! That’s the LS50 Wireless II? VERY NICE! For highest output you need to connect the interspeaker RJ45 cable. What are you using the optical for? I heard that a Cat 8 cable improves the sound somewhat. (audio voodoo?) So, I wrote to KEF asking about the interspeaker cable. They said it’s

New streaming amp, speakers or something else?

honestly those b&w 601s are classics but 25 years is a good run. speakers will give you the biggest sound change at this point. the kef ls50 wireless ii would be dead simple - just stream direct. or if you love the 601s, a cambridge audio evo 150 would wake them up and let you keep them. both are ar

receiver and bluetooth

Like dmcmaine mentioned, only the KEF LSX II do things you asked for. And they are above your budget. Also they have slightly limited SPL capabilities for longer listening distances. The next model up, that are double the price, would be more appropriate for longer listening distances / bigger room:

[< $4000] [US] Neighbor-friendly Bookshelf Speakers w/ DSP

It’s bit of a mismatch if you are going to go with KEF LSX II or LSX II LT (EAC review), and then add miniDSP. Then all of that streaming, input selection, etc. features in your KEF are not going to be used. You would either want to go with those KEF speakers, or the more suitable for longer listeni

First HiFi setup for electronic music (Techno/House) – €1.000–1.500, open-plan attic, Germany

Hi everyone, first of all, a huge thank you to everyone who took the time to share their recommendations and thoughts. I got exactly what I came for and learned an enormous amount throughout this process! Digging into the difference between active and passive systems, decoupling, to sealed vs. porte

Do active designs exist which save on space AND on cables? Yup, for example Wi-Fi speakers such as KEF LS50 Wireless II. These are truly active (four built-in power amplifiers per stereo pair) AND they get their signal via WiFi. They need one power cord per speaker but can do without signal cables..
