When would you even need that? Plugging in an aux cable? I need it at my computer desk with a sub-out port for my still-in-box Kanto sub8. I’m also considering the Kanto ORA4 which are a bit cheaper, but probably a lower tier product anyway. $350 vs $500.

I haven't listened to the Kanto ORA4 and ORAM. I prefer the Kanto TUK over the Kantu Yu6. I would avoid the Edifiers as the 1700bt are less than 100usd where I'm at. Feels like a scam if you purchase it for more than 200usd.

Yes, the extra $50 to get the optical speed sensor in the RT82 is worth it. Be aware though, the 82 does not have the phono preamp feature of the 80 and 81 models.
