Struggling to land on a TT. Bailed on LP60x, 120x seems like too much. I’m entry level. Advice?
Yes, the extra $50 to get the optical speed sensor in the RT82 is worth it. Be aware though, the 82 does not have the phono preamp feature of the 80 and 81 models. You should budget for that separately, and don't be tempted with some sub-$25 preamp. You might want to have a look at the AT-LP3XBT-BK

Sound advice - subwoofer required?

Powered Speakers for Roland FP-30X ?
