XM series have way superior noise cancelling so if that's your focus then go for it. Would personally go XM4 over XM5 as the XM5s have the whole broken hinge thing (one glance at the Sony headphones subreddit will confirm this) and XM6s are (IMO) far overpriced for what they are.
