Teachers of Reddit, what are your most terrifying "Gen Alpha Can't Read/Behave/Etc." horror stories?
I'm GenX. I just bought a Roomba S9+ for super cheap at a thrift store. Took it home, and it worked pretty well, but it kept stopping with an error code that it was near an edge - there was no edge. After a bunch of rebooting and easy troubleshooting, it still had the same issue. More reading led me

Quick question, do u guys life in your households? Cause my roomba gets caught on everything
The 690 is like the bare bones with very old tech. When iRobot switched to the rubber beater bars that really helped with getting tangled in wires and the cleaning/tracking was much more efficient. The j series brought object detection which means it usually will go around said object. The newest se

Vacuumed & mopped less than 12 hours ago. Can you guess what kind of dog I have? 😂
Nope! The one I have has a vacuum base that it empties itself on, so if it gets full it just makes a trip to the base, empties out, and continues. Specifically I have a Roomba s9+ that's served me pretty well, but it's old so I'm sure there are better ones out there these days.

Can a property manager force me to get rid of my robot vacuum?
Haha I’m so sorry for you ! It was very frustrating! I got the most stupidly expensive (and highest rated) vac at the time - research told me the key was suction. It’s an iRobot Roomba s9+ (now this was 4 years ago and may no longer be best). Vacuum still runs very well and I’m very happy with it -

Best quality-hair roomba (focused on pet hair)
For raw cleaning power for Roombas specifically, the best for pet hair and carpet will always be the Roomba s9+, followed by the vacuum only j9+. This is excluding the new Chinese manufacturerd roomba lineup. The s9 still clears the j9 too. It’s an older robot from 2019 with no pet waste avoidance,

J7
Dunno. This was our second J7+, as iRobot Support replaced the first one. Was a little hesitant, but upgraded the bot to a 705 over the Labor Day sale, plus trade-in, plus additional 15% that support gave us. Added the max warranty on it. Hopefully I didnt waste my money. My S9+ is still going stron

Aspirateur robot
Un de mes meilleurs achats des 6 dernières années. C'est pas "nickel" mais ça fait quand même gagner quelques heures par semaine. J'ai un I robot s9+ jamais eu aucun soucis.

Roborock Saros 10R or Dreame X50 Ultra?
I really like it. Navigation works much better than the Roomba S9+ I had. It's been stuck <5 times since we got it. Mopping works well. Vacuuming carpet is my only minor complaint. Wish it had a wider, better vacuum. It does decent...but not as good as the roomba dual brush. Would buy it again if it

Have robot lawn mower reached ‘Roomba-level’ smart?
I have a Roomba s9+. Never had to do anything to it in 2 years besides change the bag every few months and I replaced one spinning thing on the front after a year.
