L50 Pro Ultra seems just like X50 besides a few differences—what’s the catch?
I’ve had the Dreame L50 Pro Ultra for about two weeks now, and I’m honestly super happy with it. I upgraded from a Roomba S9+, and the difference is night and day. I was really torn between the L40s Pro Ultra, the L50 Pro Ultra, and the X50 Ultra. My home is completely flat (no thresholds/steps), so

Vacuumed & mopped less than 12 hours ago. Can you guess what kind of dog I have? 😂
Nope! The one I have has a vacuum base that it empties itself on, so if it gets full it just makes a trip to the base, empties out, and continues. Specifically I have a Roomba s9+ that's served me pretty well, but it's old so I'm sure there are better ones out there these days.

Is a robot vacuum actually worth it or do you still end up manually vacuuming anyway?
I started with a mid-range robot and upgraded after a year because pet hair kept clogging it. I moved to a Roomba s9+ and it dropped my manual vacuuming from twice a week to maybe once every 10–14 days. It still won't do stairs, and I still pull out the stick for a couple tight corners and under one

What is the best self emptying robot vacuum for pet owners?
It really depends on your specific needs and budget. If hair pickup + low maintenance are the priority, Roborock S8 Pro Ultra (or equivalent Roborock multi-dock models like Qrevo Plus) are solid options for pet hair and a very low-touch experience. If you want proven obstacle avoidance + broad suppo

Is it worth upgrading to 750 max from S9+?
I have a couple S9s and also got the Max 705 last summer. The laser nav is way better than the S9 and previous models and no longer takes a really long time to map. I do find it quieter, unlike other comments here. I run it nightly and after 9+ months, the Max 705 has gotten stuck only a few times w

What is the best robot vacuum for pet hair that doesn't get tangled every 5 minutes?
I’ve had great luck with robots that use tangle-free rubber brushes like the Roomba s9+ or some Roborock models. They still need emptying, but the long hair doesn’t wrap around the rollers constantly

Might be time for the ol' girl to retire...
Hey! It is nice you've had a nice experience with iRobot. It is likely that the battery has worn down and now the vac is performing worse. It also could be time to replace the rollers if you haven't. If the filter is clean, and the rollers are in good condition, then it os very likely there is a pro

How much should I invest in a decent roomba ?
I bought a Roomba S9+ back in 2020 and love that version due to the squared off front end which can get into corners better than the newer rounded ones. It’s been running strong for the past 5 years and only recently I ended up breaking part of the dock by trying to cheap out on the dust bags and br

any good roomba black friday and cyber monday deals to rescue one from retail?
Honestly, this is exactly why BF/CM is the right time to upgrade. The good news is the big discounts usually do include the higher-end models with self-emptying bases (j7+, j9+, s9+), not just the basic “cable-eating” ones. The newer j-series is much better at avoiding cords and furniture, especiall

New J6+ not emptying to included clean base
I bought a second s9+ from Marketplace and after initial setup, it also didn't display info about the CleanBase or an option to empty the bin. I ran a self-mapping route and it still didn't update. After running a second Clean Everywhere option, when it returned the CleanBase info an option to empty
