You're right, OP is also right, I'm one of them stuck in between with an i3+, there's a ton of people at home with dogs all the time, that I can't send it for a mapping run, but that hour I get when everyone's outside? Charlie will over analyze the corner where I kept an umbrella, and it's just gone

I think it's the curved glass wall that throws the I3+ for a loop. It doesn't seem to believe a wall might not be perpendicular and in a straight line, much less semi-transparent. Do you have any similar challenges? I've had several Roombas, but this environment is a challenge for the I3.

If it is under warranty I would call customer care and escalate to a supervisor or “iRobot Escalated Support”. I was able to talk to them the first time and it’s been all via email since (I tried calling and wasted 2 hrs and got no where.) as I’ve had the same issue with my brand new i3+ self-emptyi
