Oh. My poor, dear fiend. I feel your pain. Intel isn’t doing so hot right now either. This is my 14900ks box collection at home so far, I’m on #4: I, no shit, now keep a spare 12900k at home so I can swap it in for two weeks once or twice a year while I RMA the next dying 14900ks :(

You've had to RMA your 13th/14th gen CPU two or three times now? Read on. Most likely due to insane AC load line defaults and/or unleashed CPU and motherboard settings. You've set "Intel Baseline" or any other type of profile, get lower than expected performance but higher than expected temperatures

tldr - similar results to ops 14900ks vs 9800x3d thread. The limitations of x3d fclk let it down when playing CPU heavy / ray traced games vs rpl with tuned ram on both am4/5 platforms.

"Intels stock price is up though." Bro really had to pinch-to-zoom into the 15-minute Robinhood chart just to find a single, microscopic pixel of green to cling to. Tell me you’re suffocating on Copium without telling me you’re suffocating on Copium. My guy, look at the 5-year chart. INTC has been b

It has 30% CPU usage because the 14900KS literally has more threads than the 9800X3D. This is one of the saddest things I’ve seen on Reddit. It’s already been established that the 9800X3D outperforms everything from 12th through 15th gen in gaming, yet you’re posting a single snapshot where your CPU

In the exact same boat as you. 9850X3D with a direct die custom loop, 32GB ram 8400CL36, Astral 5090 LC, Intel Optane P5800X 1.6TB system/game drive, Intel E810 network card (because this games performance also seems unreasonably reliant on fast/good networking) running Active optical fiber, aorus F

I can't get a read on you from your replies and seeing as you reply you just deflect and become aggressive, logically its better to see what you think with 1 click. I dont get it you claim to care about smoothness above all and yet your oled is 240hz instead of the 360 and 480hz , you also dont use

Well, it is a fair question. However, I doubt that we will ever see a hotter mess than 14900ks was. That cpu was sold to mases and people needed to direct die the whole thing in order to make it more or less cool. Derbauer got 400w out the thing under ambient cooling... So I believe here it should n

You probably have a more modern i9. The CPUs get divided up by generation. so the Intel i5-10500 is a 10th Generation launched in 2020 The intel i9-10900K is a also 10th generation. The main difference between i5 and i9 is the number of cores they have with the i9 having more which usually makes it

Yup I’m on a 5090 i9-14900KS (100% stable across OCCT y-cruncher, cinebench, memtest, and prime95). However the latest changes to Vanguard has made only this League and Val crash. Tried to let Riot support know and they just say it’s my the classic old “your CPU is degraded cause it’s the 13th-14th
