Apple will end support for Intel Macs next year; macOS 27 will require Apple Silicon

For laptops, the M1 also soundly beat Tiger Lake & Zen3. // I literally had to rewrite my comment here: I was going to say, "Apple's 1T perf margins have shrunk; AMD & Intel are gaining ground slowly." Boy was I fucking wrong. Today in 1T perf (the hardest battle to win), the M4 bests AMD's Zen5 & I

Nada de undervolt por aqui! 9950X3D2, 5090 water block, MOrA IV 600, delid, OC fixo

That’s an awesome upgrade path, congrats! The 9950X3D is going to be a huge jump from the 10900k.One tip from my experience: with Direct Die, fixed OC works way better than PBO, you get much better thermal headroom, so a locked all-core clock makes more sense than letting PBO manage things dynamical

The main difference between i5 and i9 is the number of cores they have with the i9 having more which usually makes it

Anyone still using an Intel Mac in 2026?

I still rocking a top spec 2020 5k iMac. I modified it installing a i9 10900k (from the i7 and repasted with mx-6 paste) 128gb ram and 2TB SSD and 5700XT. I added a Razer Core X Chroma with a RX 6900XT (modified the cooling with two Noctua premium fans for better cooling) it handles my Canon R6ii 10

Can someone look over my hackintosh build please

10th gen is a good starting point for compatibility. As it is my idea of “officially supported” generation. See if you can squeeze the budget for a non-F CPU so you can enjoy iGPU. Broadcom support under Tahoe is still under development, you might have to stay on the previous version for stable wifi
