I Used the Sous Vide function for the first time...best steak I ever made.
Yeah, I moved the steaks around every 30 min or so just in case but I checked with an instant read thermometer and it seemed very consistent. My IP has the airfryer built into the lid which is attached and a special plate for pressure cooking. The air fryer function works well...not quite as well as

Recommendation for the pressure cooker
You asked what brands to consider - this sub is focused on Instant Pots, one brand, so that’s why your responses will all be for an Instant Pot. Your question is a frequent one over on r/PressureCooking, so you might check that out if you want a wider variety of recommendations. That said, I loved e

Tell me the truth about air fryers
I don't have a dedicated air fryer, but I grabbed the Instant Pot Duo Crisp with Air Fryer Lid, and it 1000% is my favourite kitchen appliance. It air fries great. It also sautés, sears, slow cooks, pressure cooks, roasts, dehydrates, and sous vides great. It takes up a small space on my counter. Yo

Best cooking equipement for living alone.
Instant pot duo crisp is a pressure cooker and air fryer in one (also slow cooks and dehydrates) I use the pressure cooker a lot- from full dishes (soup, curry, etc) but also for cooking my base grains, hard boiled eggs- all sorts of things. And having the air fryer is a bonus! It does have 2 lids s

Best way to cook rice/lentil/bean/other grains?
The standard multicooker route is the smart pick here - a fancy Cuckoo is gorgeous but overkill if you mostly want pressure-cooked grains and beans. The Instant Pot Duo 7-in-1 5.7L is around $181 AUD on Amazon and it absolutely nails brown rice, chickpeas and tougher beans without the soak. If you a

Is this a good equipment for a single person (24F) who lives alone and doesn’t cook grand meals? Lmk if there are better deals for airfryers. Thank you.
I know you said you prefer to keep it basic but if you want to broaden your cooking options I'd consider going for one that has an air fryer, pressure cooker and slow cooker in one Instant Pot Duo Crisp + Air Fryer 11-in-1 Multicooker, 5.7L - Pressure Cooker, Air Fryer, Slow Cooker, Steamer, Sous Vi

Which capacity for a single user?
Hey guys and gals… after much discussion and consideration, I decided to go with the “standard” width 6qt, but checking the measurements found one that while essentially standard, is an inch or so shorter and’s not appeciably thicker or thinner. I did end up finding a screaming deal on a used/refurb

Is an air fryer worth it?
I've got the instant pot with the duo crisp lid for air frying. I didn't want yet another appliance to store and this seemed to bridge the gap - but honestly the lid is a pretty big thing to store away. I like it but I've never had an air fryer to compare it to.
