What studio monitors do you recommend these days?
u/scottbrio here. I've worked in a lot of studios and listened to a lot of different monitors. In my opinion, the best monitors for an indie producer in an untreated room are the IKMultiMedia iLoud Micro monitors. They're $299 new (cheaper used) and sound incredible. Buying Flat Response Mixing Monitors.
Below 80hz, bass is almost exclusively omnidirectional. So I would want to minimize those lower bass frequencies inside the wardrobe. So I would go for the iloud Micromonitors as they won't put out a lot of lower end bass. But they are front ported (definitely don't want rear ports inside the wardro
