i feel you on the plastic cracking thing. had three headsets die that exact way before i switched. hyperx cloud ii is actually known for lasting forever - metal yokes and aluminum frame. been using mine for four years now and it still feels solid. cloud iii is newer so not as proven yet. also check

If you specifically mean wireless, then the HyperX Cloud III Wireless S. Great audio right out of the box so no EQ is really needed, HyperX’s Cloud headset lineup is notorious for their great comfort, and the battery life lasts up to 100-120 hours in a charge.
