GoPro to lay off 145 workers — nearly a quarter of its workforce
I had an 11 and hated it. Crackling sound, and overheated so quickly. I actually reverted to using my Hero 3 black for a while. Once I got tired of the external battery pack solution to keep it going (it is old!), I ended up going back to the 13. Seems like much of the sound issues were resolved, bu

What are your expectations or predictions for the new HERO14 leak?
My prediction (and hope) is that GoPro will dominate the action-camera market again. You wouldn't know it from the onslaught of purchased media reviews and bots from their competition, but GoPro arguably offers the best video quality in daylight with Hero 13 and Max 2, and now they are shoring up th

Do you use a camera when riding?
I use a helmet mounted GoPro Hero 11 Black. Probably overkill for a traffic camera but I use it for other activities as well; image and hardware quality is excellent and software is good as well. Cheap cameras keep getting better, however, to make out license plates it really helps to shoot in 4K. A

Which action cam with wide angle lens is the best?
They are all decent cameras that will give you great footage. That said, the Hero 13 still has the best image quality of the bunch when lighting is good and would be my choice for that reason. Many of the GoPro issues commonly upvoted are over-stated (battery life, overheating, no internal storage,

4k Fence Mount Camera (non streaming)
I was using an old GoPro 6 and shooting 4k/30. I would record the whole game and note the time from start when a play occurred and then pull that clip and edit it at 720p. It worked and the videos looked decent. I just upgraded to a Hero 13 Black. My son is a catcher and I add a timer on each throw

For those who use a POV camera...
I personally prefer gopro. Having the hero 12 and quite happy about it. I like to mount on the helmet when snowboarding. It gives a nice perspective of the turns and the board and landscape doesn't look crazy stretched. There is the ultra wide mode or something like this, it is cool for when you are

Small camera for horse riding
360 cameras have better stabilization than regular ones, but also more expensive and image quality is a bit lower. As of regular cameras, any GoPro Hero 11-13 Black all are a good choice, but not sure if the stabilization will keep up with horse riding. Avoid GoPro Minis at all cost.

Hands-free camera for capturing baby’s daily moments — Insta360 GO 3S vs 360 cam vs other?
yeah, the 360 cameras are very specificly a 360 camera. But i must say, if spent time and learning it. I think its a perfect family camera, like a new are camcorder because you put yourself in the video and dont have to think about the frame. But yeah, it's a high order to get into. if you use the f

Osmo over GoPro right?
Awesome, thank you. Budget reasonable but if I don’t have to spend $750 bucks I won’t. I’m definitely gonna use my GoPro 8 and borrow/keep a Hero 10 a colleague bought, but never uses. Now that I have more DJI drone experience, I’m interested in one of their action cams so probably the most affordab

I’m quite confused about which camera to purchase.
An action camera is a great choice. You would probably be happy with either camera. GoPro Hero 13 still has arguably the best daylight image quality, but it does suffer in low-light unless you are tweaking settings and doing work in post. If budget allows, and the larger size is okay, you should loo
