GoPro to lay off 145 workers — nearly a quarter of its workforce
Until recently, the last GoPro I had was a Hero 2. I bought a 13 and it was a giant leap compared to the old camera. A lot of resolution and frame rate options. You can control the camera from your phone. I haven't had it very long, but I am enjoying the upgrade. If you're thinking about it, I'd go

GoPro to lay off 145 workers — nearly a quarter of its workforce
I had an 11 and hated it. Crackling sound, and overheated so quickly. I actually reverted to using my Hero 3 black for a while. Once I got tired of the external battery pack solution to keep it going (it is old!), I ended up going back to the 13. Seems like much of the sound issues were resolved, bu

Fresh Under Chair 23 Yesterday
GoPro Hero 13 with Ultrawide Lens, I bought the bundle and it also came with the regular lens. It’s mounted on the forehead area of my helmet, right above the helmet front lip with the included curved mount. I believe the FWT athletes use this camera and lens combo as well, probably from the sponsor

do i need a camera? (after small cycle accident)
Yes, you should get a camera. Best cameras will be DJI Osmo Action series, or GoPro Hero Series. DJI had a better battery run time, but both can be run from an external powerbank.

4k Fence Mount Camera (non streaming)
I was using an old GoPro 6 and shooting 4k/30. I would record the whole game and note the time from start when a play occurred and then pull that clip and edit it at 720p. It worked and the videos looked decent. I just upgraded to a Hero 13 Black. My son is a catcher and I add a timer on each throw

Best Budget Camcorder for Long Painting Sessions?
For your exact use case (4-5 hour static painting sessions), I would optimize for reliability over “cinematic” quality. What to prioritize: No auto-shutoff/record limits Clean power (dummy battery + wall adapter) Unlimited recording or auto file-split Overhead mounting option and manual focus lock U

I’m quite confused about which camera to purchase.
I film exclusively with the Hero 13's at the moment due to their excellent image quality and the amount of customizable options via the GoPro Labs Firmware (something no other camera company comes close to matching). The anamorphic lens really does make for some cinematic looking footage. The Macro

I’m quite confused about which camera to purchase.
You’re spot on that an action camera is the way to go and if you’re looking for the absolute latest tech, DJI just released the Osmo Action 6 which is a total beast On the other side, GoPro isn’t outdated by any means either with the Hero 13 Black being still real great. So I’d you don’t need the bl

best action camcorder for beginner who wants stable footage while moving?
Depends on what you want to film and the conditions. Personally I’d say GoPro 11, 12 or 13. I have the 11 and never upgraded since I’m happy with it and the upgrades haven’t been enough for me to get a 12/13. I have a DJI Action 5 Pro and…..I freaking hate it. The white balance is off and everything

Recommendations for budget camcorders?
If you just want a few cameras on sticks, and you're in a sporty family, a few older gopros would do you fine. Easy to use, expandable storage, weatherproof/shockproof, no recording limit, can hook it up to external power or external battery bank, or switch in spare batteries when you need. I had th
