Non sono esperto sulle action cam ma da quello che mi ricordo sulle go pro puoi modificare la lente via software. Hai diverse opzioni, superwide, Wide, Linear e crop. Used market? Older GoPro’s are kinda cheap and plentiful. I still use a hero8 black.

GoPro recommendations
Mine was a GOPRO Hero8 Black, others had newer ones. As I said, newer models had more problems. As GoPro has no thermal management, you cannot tell, if the camera is overheating.
