It is not that the apps were forced to go back to the watch face. The previous behavior would darken the app and show a generic digital time in front of it. I have the PW2 LTE on Warp with my Pixel 9 Pro. It works at well as it did when I was on Google Fi before porting to USM. The watch itself hasn't always worked for me - there are times where I have to reboot the watch before calls and texts work again. It's intermittent though.

I would factory reset to the latest public build (Wear OS 6; BP3A.250905.014.W3) using https://flash.android.com/back-to-public.
