Townhouse Network Setup

You shouldn’t be getting different answers depending on whom you ask, because given what you describe, using the existing Ethernet to improve your WiFi around the house is an absolute no-brainer, and if the installing technician saw that you had Ethernet he should have said so. The good news is that

Looking for an AP recommendation for my room.

Don't overthink it- get a cheap eero or any Google nest Wifi pro which all have one free port on back for your needs. The Ethernet goes into one and your PC goes into other.

Best router for Eufy HB3

I tried many routers and the Google nest pro wifi 6e is the only one that worked. It broadcasts multiple 2.4 ghz network on channel 1,6 and 13 simultaneously. No other brand does it this way. I tried deco BE95, Asus Zen wifi and eero max 7. All of them broadcast a single 2.4 ghz band. If you have a

Google wifi warning

That's really weird, because both of what you are saying has worked on every generation of Google Wifi Units. I currently have the following: ISP -> Primary Google Nest Wifi Pro -> TP link unmanaged POE switch -> 3x other Google Nest Wifi Pros in various rooms. A few things you need to watch out for

Extending Starlink WiFi 2025

I use the Google nest WiFi pro 6E. It works great. Easy setup. No issues. Just get the Ethernet adapter from starlink. I bought one from Amazon and had to return it because it was crap. The starlink one works perfect with the Google nodes.

Anyone out there with a Steam Deck (or a ROG Ally, Legion Go) who also owns a PS Portal?

Same here—my PS5 was literally gathering dust for a year or even two because of this, while I racked up hundreds of hours on the Steam Deck. Just having that portability and the ability to play anywhere at home or even on vacation made all the difference. Though to be fair, I never actually take it

Best streamer for Dolby Atmos True HD and DTS-HD?

Maybe it's your router? I only say that because I have 2 shields and one fire stick 4k max and the fire stick has no problems even with 4k remuxes with lossless audio afaik, however it is likely on WiFi 6e since my router is a google nest pro. In my experience with video playback, throughout is only

Xbox Series X capped download speeds on Gigabit FTTP

Hey Gang!

I've recently had FTTP installed, and I am currently running a Google Nest Wifi Pro (6E) mesh router system, all is well, getting about 977 down and 54 up at the main router. I have a 8 port D-Link Gigabit switch connected to the LAN, and I am running a EoP adapter to my gaming room where
