PSA the Visible app and band are worth it for heart rate tracking alone
If HR tracking is the primary purpose, a Garmin watch should be considered as an option as well, especially if money is tight! I opted for a Vivoactive 5 when I was deciding between them because the subscription cost of Visible would exceed the one-time cost of a Garmin watch before long.

Found a better way to pace with Garmin watch
Wow I didn't realize that the Vivoactive 5 doesn't vibrate upon hitting the heart rate threshold! I almost bought that watch but it was slightly above my price range, so I bought the Forerunner 165 instead. Mine does vibrate but I think the vibration only happens after a sustained 60 seconds above t

Amazfit Cheetah and the new updates. Life cycle too short?
In my opinion, this is pretty standard for sports watches. I have the Garmin Vivoactive 5 myself, and in the 2.5 years I've owned it, I've maybe received two small feature updates. The new Vivoactive 6 is almost identical to the Vivoactive 5 in terms of hardware but has a lot of new software, instea

Thinking about pulling the trigger.
I switched from the Garmin Vivoactive 5 to the Amazfit Active 3 Premium. The only thing that’s a bit disappointing is the BioCharge and stress meter; Garmin’s Body Battery and stress tracking often matched how I actually felt much better, whereas Amazfit’s BioCharge feels a bit superficial at times.

Looking for health/fitness wearables other than oura or visible
I have a Garmin vivoactive 5 and I love it. The body battery feature is really helpful.

Visible band worth it?
I have a garmin vivoactive 5 and it is such a perfect, useful tool for me. Real time continuous HR monitoring, overnight HRV monitoring, stress tracking, sleep tracking, and a “body battery” tool that is very accurate for me. No subscription necessary. Edited to add: I do not like the idea of having

Garmin watch
I have the vivoactive 5 and I can’t speak more highly of it! I use the body battery, heart rate readings and HRV scores daily.

Watch: I'll second third fourth... Garmin watch. I have the Vivoactive 5, and it has been great for me. super durable, easy to clean. and comfortable to sleep in compared to some of their other bulkier watches if you're interested in tracking sleep as well. Google's Whoop competitor is here, Fitbit Air starts at $99
Yes, weird. My Garmin Vivoactive 5 with an AMOLED screen costs £170 and lasts 10 days. It probably has better data insights than this as well.
