Instinct 2S horrendous battery life - hate it so much after 3 years
The people in this comments are the reason why companies can get away with greed and become so rich... The Garmin Instinct is a very low process computer, which means it doesn't wear on battery as much as other devices like apple watches or phones, it should perfectly be able to last years without b

T-rex 3 vs Garmin Instinct 2
How have you chosen garmin instinct if your second requirement is mapping? You either need to settle with spending more money or going with t-Rex. Garmin are expensive because they have a tight grip over the market

Opinions on what instinct to get
The instinct E is a downgrade compared to the instinct 2s, although it's newer. DC Rainmaker considered the Instinct E as an Instinct 1.5 instead of 3. Don't buy the instinct E, it has poorer battery life, less features and costs more. From another user on reddit - read dcrainmakers review NOBODY sh

Turns out Garmin Instinct 2 (and others) are e-waste
Yup. I took their measly “trade in” offer: swapped my 2S for a 3 last week (at a 25% discount) it was basically unusable. I escalated my conversation to try and get a better deal. I said that a $400 device that is essentially unusable after 18 mo is completely unacceptable. I like Instinct 3, but th

Instinct E 45MM multisport
I just sent my instinct 2s in support for a battery issue, they replaced it with an instinct E, it was such a delusion, less battery, way less workouts, it's clearly software locked, it could do all the things that the other instinct does they just soft locked it so you buy the more premium options,

Rent a watch?
Ended up buying coros pace pro on a day a good deal appeared. Love it, immediately sold my instinct 2x to cover a bit of the cost. At the current state, I don't see myself going back to garmin.

Do I really need solar?
Also, instinct is not really a smartwatch, it's a GPS sport tracker with some smartwatch functions, just so you know Even Fenix watches from Garmin don't have as many "smartwatch" features as something like apple watch I actually changed from instinct 2X solar to Fenix 7X solar for the better maps,

Instinct 2S horrendous battery life - hate it so much after 3 years
See my post. Similar issue for a similar age watch. I got a replacement from Garmin for no cost. My issue happen within a couple of days of 17.18 firmware update and persisted even if I downgraded. So I pointed fault at that update in my complaint to Garmin. I am in Australia and our consumer laws s

Garmin Fenix Release Patterns: Fenix 9
What are you on my guy? I didn't say the Fenix 7 is better than the 8, I was mostly, deservedly, making fun the Fenix 8 PRO (key on PRO). Quick points: * The Fenix 8 Pro InReach uses the Skylo satellite system which are static satellites and have worse connection, the other InReach devices use the I
