Instinct 2

My garmin is pathetically inaccurate for sleep compared to my fitbit charge 5 and then 6 later on. I have an instinct 2.

For serious tracking the H10 is the gold standard in terms of accuracy anyway. You can connect it to anything. I use Garmin Instinct 2 and an H10 for sports. Activity data from all optical sensors is pretty much garbage.

My first Garmin Instinct 2 got a faulty HR sensor. It would randomly record HR at approx 50% of the actual reading... really skewed some results and made the metrics useless. I know this is an old thread, but just to clarify some things: The whole point of recording as a ruck natively, is how the metrics are interpreted after the fact. What do I mean: Say you practice many sports, including running. Everything you do is tracked by your garmin, and it feeds into your fitn

Necroing this thread, but Garmin also torpedoed many Instinct 2 users. They pushed a firmware update that reduced battery life by about 90% and broke the heart rate monitor for a very sizeable number of users. The cynic in me says it probably targeted people who were out of warranty based on Garmin

The sleep tracking is as you can expect from Garmin. Meh at best. Battery etc is also like Garmin. On an instinct 3 weeks with lot of GPS or over a month for daily use isn't uncommon at all.

What Garmin device are you using for this? I have an Instinct 2, and it doesn't appear to have breathing variations in the app.
