What's your everyday Lab Wearable?

I do similar with a Garmin forerunner 245 music (music is the key bit), you can download Spotify playlists, though it is a lain in the butt pairing my headphones back and forth from watch to phone. The upshot is it has a long battery life if you're looking for something for more than just lab use

GPS interference due to heavy tree cover

Any watch with all-system multiband would be better than your Venu 2s. My garmin FR955 with that is substantially better than my FR245, but I do still have some issues with instant pace not feeling right in heavy cover scenarios. Note that how bad trees are varies a bit - high humidity and rain also

Abandoning polar ☹️

My first Polar was FT4 (2013) and then I've had M400, M430, A360, Vantage M, Pacer, Pacer Pro and now Ignite 3. I jumped to Garmin for a month few years ago (FR245) and then back to Polar. I guess I'm staying with Polar, I didn't like Garmin app and everything was soooo complicated. 😅

Garmin vs. Coros Training Metrics

Aside from the RHR and HRV stuff in the other comment, I really like Coros' approach to load management as well. It's super simple - based on recent training load they give you a window to try to stay within for the current week to avoid under or over training. You can also map out future workouts a

Switching to Coros

Yes, I did the switch from a Garmin FR245 to Pace 4 a couple of weeks ago. The Coros app is much better than Garmin Connect. It’s the primary reason why I made the switch. Pros: quick and reliable syncing. Marathon plans. Many watch faces. Cons: Interface with other apps is somewhat limited. I’m usi

This brand really caught my interest. What made you switch?

Went from Garmin FR245 Music -> FR265 -> Coros Pace Pro (with their arm HRM and POD2). I started looking into Coros when Garmin started introducing stupid AI and locking some badges as part of their "premium" subscription. I don't want another subscription and have existing features slowly get locke

Watch recommendation! T-REX 3(non pro) or Forerunner 55

Edit: why not change the battery of your AW7? Shouldn’t be too expensive normally, and that may help you run the 15k distance without running out of battery. It should still be supported for a few years, so it won’t be obsolete immediately. The FR55,165 and 255 won’t receive any updates anymore, exc

New watch needed!

For me, personally as someone who moved from Tomtom > FR245 > FR955, the FR955 is great for both my road running and trail running. It's a few models behind now, but with excellent battery life, MIPS display and sharp prices due to being older I would happily pick it up again (and am thinking of pic

Finally

These were pointed out to me recently and you're right it does solve my issue. I've just purchased new sports ear buds (Sony Linkbuds fit) and I'm really happy with them so it isn't ideal to purchase more. I've also not tried bone conduction so I am still sceptical, but would love to be proved wrong
