Been wanting to buy a new watch and was going to buy the Garmin fenix 8 is there anything else anyone recommends
Had the Epix Gen 2 Sapphire for the past 2.5 years and loved it. Garmin recently sent me an upgrade to the Fenix 8 Sapphire and it is marginally better. I like the interface on fenix 8 over epix. Can't speak to forerunner..

Ugh. It happened again.
I’ve had fēnix® 8 – 47 mm, Solar Sapphire, Titanium with Amp Yellow/Graphite Silicone Band for almost 2 years without any issues. Second garmin- other one I had for 10 years & no issues.

Fenix vs Forerunner
I have been debating this for the last month. Have made a post of my own and have also jumped into other threads asking this very question. I went with the 47mm fenix 8 sapphire AMOLED. I am a trail runner, half marathons, training for my first marathon, hiker, and am the technical services manager
