I have both. Most of the Focals are made in France. I have the Stellias (very high end) The B&Os are made in China. I have the Portals for gaming and the H100 for casual/commute/travel.

This is my second focal. First one was radiance again closed back. I really didnt notice shouty vocals for both of them. Stellia’s mids so good and accurate and positioned well not too close or far. Just i needed to eq mid-bass and low bass area a bit i found its too much and overpowering. Maybe cuz

Let me turn it around on you because I am relatively new to headphones and I recently purchased on sale $1500 headphones and on sale $3000 headphones... Give me as many examples as you can of headphones that are truly amazing, giving you 99% of everything and the average costs of these specific head

None of my over head headphones are particularly hard to drive (Focal Stellia, Focal Utopia, HifiMAN He1000se, Senn HD800s). The HD800s is probably the hardest to drive and it has no issue with the DX340/Amp18. The Amp17 has more power but the noise floor is not as good, which can be an issue with s

I did an AB test with the Bathy MGs and PX82s. To me, the focals were the clear winner. Much better soundstage and instrument separation. And just a much more complete sound. The B&Ws were a bit warmer, but the slightly recessed vocals, no matter how I eq’d them were a deal breaker. The focals are t

I should try that one too, I have been ignoring Focal for too long after trying the Stellia. Not fair to judge everything they make based on a single model. Probably not going to buy anything though, I use the DCA Stealth and it seems like the perfect headphone for me. At least nothing else I've tri

lol its just a general comment. i think your szalayi is one tier above and solve the quirks you.mentioned. next tier with basshead trait CA Clara. but wayyyyy overpriced. even higher dynamics. just go focal radiance/stellia or denons with capble amp. end game bass dynamics even compared to these hig

All those headphones sound very different from one another so the best thing to do is try and listen to them to see what you like. The HD800S for example (another headphone I've owned) sounds very different than the Focal Utopia. I haven't heard the Meze or the Stellia. Reviews will say that all of

At AXPONA I was headphone shopping - but high end open's at that time. Heard the Clear MG's and they were nice and very listenable. Once the Utopia 2022's became available to hear I shifted to them and there was no further shopping needed in the Focal Line - or so I thought. On the way home from the

How loud is your house? I have the Celestee, Stellia, and Utopia, and all are superb. I've used the Celestee & Stellia with my digital piano, and being closed backs they have been great at blocking out room / family noise while still delivering fantastic sound (i.e., balance, clarity, depth, immersi
