Why do so many competitive Esports FPS players say IEM's are better for gaming than open backs?
Ex pro, washed now, but I think I can give some input. The idea was always big stage = easier to place, but having more recently used IEMs, even closed backs, I find seperation is far more important as long as the direction imaging is up to scratch. Something to be said about isolation no matter how

A Week With the FiiO M33 R2R
I've had mine for a week now. It's a wonderful product and I agree with everything you wrote. I also having issues with screen, sometimes when I scrolled into Qobuz app then it can think I'm adding or removing favorite it's pretty annoying. Also, I think they could put a bigger battery even if it's

Straight trade an HD 800 for 7xx or 6xx?
The HD 800 is an interesting "backup/travel pair" unless you mean you own two of them. But then it's still interesting to have an open back headphone for that use case. If it's your 2nd unit, I'd sell it, then buy something like a FiiO FT1 or Focal Azurys if you want pure sound quality, or even an H

Looking for closed back headphones for recording vocals already own DT 990 Pro 250 Ohm
What others are using isn’t the one you should buy. What makes you think they made an educated or even a good choice buying theirs? Your budget is the key thing, but you didn’t mention any. $100 and $500 recommendations are pretty different. Sony 7506 gets a lot of recommendations, but check their f

What headphones do you use?
I go between 2 headphones and 3 true wireless earbud sets depending on where they are getting used. For headphones (which all really stick out on my balding head but at least they are pretty) I have the Focal Azurys for home listening mostly and sometimes portable listening. They sound great to me b

Looking for advice, going from OpenBack to ClosedBack
1770 if you have a proper amp. The 770 Pro X has a rather V-shaped response so not suited to your needs. If you are willing to do other brands the Focal Celestee or Azurys, Shure 840A, and AKG 371 are all neutral. The main difference the the materials they are made from and the shape of the ear cups

PX8s2 vs Focal Bathys Mg
I have a huge collection of headphones, but wired headphones are not my main focus, though I already own or have had a lot of them. Ocal Celestee, Elegia (my favorite), Hifiman XS... I currently have Focal Hadenys (open) and Focal Azurys (closed). They are nice and portable, but I still prefer the E

Question Regarding DAPs and Wireless Headphones
I think you're thinking about it too much, the XM4's were not made to be a Hi-Fi headphone, even if you use them wired with a 2000 usd external dac you'll be stuck with its wonky tunning, and also if you try to EQ them it won't sound as good as something made specially to be used wired (eg. FiiO FT1
