3D Printer for Homelab
If you're ONLY getting a 3D printer for this project, DON'T get a 3D printer. Hell, if you're in the US, I'll print you the set of parts myself for the cost of plastic. If you want to dabble in 3D printing, the best thing I ever did was buy big. Don't buy for what you think you want to do, buy for t

This is my first large scale 3d print project. My husband helped me ❤️
I thought it was easy to work with. I am a beginner at 3D printing. We bought a flashforge adventurer 5m and printed it with a PLA filament. I didn’t even need supports for the majority of it, it printed quickly. I had one misprint from not using the support but I was able to salvage and use the pie

Just ordered the ad5x
Good luck and have fun. I am new to 3d printing as of Christmas 2025. My 1st machine was a adventurer 5m pro. I have been having a blast with it. Very user friendly. Not sure the differences with software etc but I use mainline orca slicer and have been having a blast. Some failed prints but mostly

Just purchased. I read a while, and chose this over Bambu because of price and size of print. See comments please.
It is the same printer. I would use the Orca Flashforge slicer to start. People will suggest the regular Orca slicer but for new to 3D printing, it is harder to use. The Orca Flashforge is set up for the printer and is super easy to connect and get started and has a lot of options for customization.

Cursed rolling blocks.
Many will disagree with me, but I really love the ender 3. The fosscad community mostly doesn't like them anymore. I have a couple of them, and I'm actually getting ready to vertically wall mount one to be dedicated to printed ammo. For large batches of small things like this, it makes the most sinc

3D Printers for board game components
I have a Flashforge Adventurer 5M Pro that I’ve been using to print game inserts out the wazoo and I’ve been pretty happy with it. I’ve had a bit more mixed results with fine detail miniatures but I understand that Resin Printers are the best for that, and I don’t want to mess too much with them.

Whats the best enclosed 3d printer for beginners
the Flashforge adventurer 5m pro is a pretty good and relatively inexpensive option, but the Bambu P1S seems to be the more popular choice these days. you can find some good options in this thread
