Good luck and have fun. I am new to 3d printing as of Christmas 2025. My 1st machine was a adventurer 5m pro. I have been having a blast with it. Very user friendly. Not sure the differences with software etc but I use mainline orca slicer and have been having a blast. Some failed prints but mostly

Beginner doubts
Orca-Flashforge is okay, if you are familiar with Orca you may miss a few features, for most of my printing I don’t. As far as firmware goes, be cautious, many of the problems we hear about are people who are either very early to adopt a new firmware family, try to upgrade to fix a “problem” which s

Para mí primera impresora me recomiendan la Flashforge Adventurer 5M
I have the FlashForge AD5M Pro which is identical in most ways... It was my first printer and it a good choice for learning. It also offers some good options to expand, upgrade, and modify Zmod or forgex for full klipper. Lots of aftermarket plates in compatible sizes. (Love my cryogrip glacier) Sev

Sell me on Klipper
Way better method of monitoring your printer remotely than Flashforges awful app. Better control over just about every aspect of your printer. Bed mesh function that allows you to make sure your bed is physically level, which makes the auto-level way more accurate and prints come out better. Select

Zmod or forge-x?
You don't need the ssh access unless you intend to go back to stock and Forge-X uninstall nuked your AD5M json file (it did for mine) which I believe is a rare side effect of the removal process. The screen loss is just some of the stock functions but you can control literally everything from a web

Is the Adventurer 5m or 5m Pro worth it?
I think most of the issues with Orca slicer are that those people are using Flashforge's version. I've been using vanilla Orcaslicer for the past year with my AD5M, and haven't had issues with it. Typical 3D printing user related issues like bed adhesion and forgetting to enable supports and whatnot

Is the Adventurer 5m or 5m Pro worth it?
I have an Adventurer 5M Pro — I got it as a reward from work (rather than a gold watch, we get to pick a gift at “significant” anniversaries). It’s been fine out of the box. I think the big thing is that with the latest firmware, you’re basically locked-in to the Flashforge software ecosystem (and t

Can't connect phone to printer
Based on a lot of recent comments from other posts, I would advise avoiding the new firmware until it's stabilized. There has been a lot of people stating connection problems with it. You can get the previous version of the mobile app here: https://www.flashforge.com/pages/software-flash-makerList o

Finally finished my setup, what do you think?
Yes it is a 3d printer. It’s the flashforge adventure 5M Pro. It’s a really nice printer and has really good print quality and good management software.

What 3D printers do you recommend for a beginner?
Sim_Mayor, with all due respect, but what you said doesn't reflect reality. The Flashforge Adventure 5m is as fast as, or even faster than, the Bambu machines. Aurora, from the YouTube channel Aurora Tech, reviewed the 5M Pro and it was faster than the P1P in printing Robo Alpaka. And that's just on
