Thoughts on wearables?

I was a big fan but the more training I do the more I realize that it mostly confirms what I already know. If it says I slept poorly and HRV is low, it's probably because I slept poorly and don't feel up for a big workout. At this point I probably don't need it, but I keep it on my wrist anyways. Th

What have you bought for under $1,000 that has made the biggest positive change in your life?

I have a few: Second freezer so we can bulk buy and bulk cook. Hasnt made any difference to our electricity bill but has allowed us to cut our grocery bill down to $500/month for 2 adults Air fryer Not that I bought it, but moving into a house with a dishwasher has made a world of difference for us

Opting out of new fitbit update? Alternatives?

I bought an Amazfit Band 7 for $35 from Amazon. I've had it for six months. It does everything my Fitbit Luxe does and more. No AI. No subscriptions. No Google crap.It has an app called Zepp.

Quiet quitting me

12 years with Fitbit, now I've had Xiaomi Band 9 for over a year. I think the accuracy is equal to my Charge 5. I'm happy with the switch. So a Band 10 would be an accuracy upgrade from your Charge 2. Pros = cost, battery life, nothing blocked by a subscription, more faces than Fitbit Charge had Con

Charge 5 replacement

When my Charge 5 died the exchange rate was bad. So I bought a Xiaomi Band 9, for 1/5th the price of the Charge 6. I was with Fitbit for 12 years and I'm glad I tried something else. My Fitbit's usually lasted 3 years / 3 typhoon seasons. So for the price difference I figured even if it only lasted

Is the Charge 6 still worth buying?

I adore my Charge 6 and I bought it last year knowing Google is trying to phase them out. (Couldn't resist the sale price!) In the past I've had some of the original Fitbit trackers: I had the original Classic, a Fitbit One, a Luxe, the Versa, and Versa 2. I enjoyed all of them, especially the Versa

Heart Rate Monitor Recs

I just use a simple Fitbit, the apple watch type ones are too big for my personal taste. I upgraded from a Fitbit Inspire HR to the Luxe and I love how it looks, and it's enough to show me some basic stuff like my heart rate, steps, and time, which is all I need.

what is your adhd tip/trick

Get a watch! Not a smart watch, a watch watch. It’s the only thing that helps with my time blindness. I currently wear the Fitbit luxe with the notifications turned off— works for me— but a simple timex is great

Does anyone still love their fitbit?

I do. My Luxe was being stupid (I figured bc they were phasing it out) and I looked for other types. I came back to Fitbit and got an Inspire 3. Overall I do like the functionality and the battery life and the price point. It just gets a little glitchy on occasion. lol
