Why I ditched smartwatches for Casios
Yeah I was never a fan of smart watches. They are just a worse version of a smart phone. I wear my 5610 in my left wrist and on my right wrist my Fitbit inspire 3. I turned off all phone notifications on it, because the screen real estate is so small for reading all that. I only use it for the heart

Cheap, basic clip-on step tracker that syncs to phone
I found this thread because I'm looking for the same thing. Looks like no one has something super perfect. Here is what I'm settling for (Jan 2025): Fitbit Inspire 3 ($70) + Clip ($20). PITA to pay so much for something basic, but if it means I can track my hike to Mordor (and meet some other person

So long and thanks for all the fish
My charge 5 just gave out on me. I'm a new mom and I just want something simple to time my baby's feeds and keep track of my steps, let me know when I get a text, call. I didn't want to spend the money on a Garmin so I got the inspire 3. It'll do for now but when it craps out I will also be done wit

Advice on upgrading from Inspire 3
I picked up an Inspire 3 last year. Primarily, I chose it because it was the cheapest option. Over this year, I've found myself using my fitbit a lot, but finding it's lacking a few things I'd really like. It looks like the Charge 6 and Versa 4 hit my main things: proper music controls (I use YT M

Accuracy of Pixel Watch on counting steps and sleep tracking?
Thanks. I'm actually considering the PW3 since I'm just moving up from a cheap Fitbit Inspire 3. Any idea how much worse the PW3 is (vs the PW4) when it comes to "Fitbit" related stuff?

Inspire 3 Heart Rate useless?
Picked up an Inspire 3 on sale on Amazon last week, mostly just curious about some of the sleep and recovery type stuff and it seemed like an inexpensive way to have some info about that.
TLDR, heart rate is way off when working out, so I don’t really trust any of the other data either (resting HR

Polar loop URL is already public
I'm thinking about canceling my order. It's just a watch without the display or buttons but somehow a bit more expensive. Even the 360 strap looked better, this design is too bland.I could get a fitbit charge 6 and get much more (a small screen, nfc payments, vibrating alarm, water resistance, likel

tracking steps while driving...
I don't think so, I had an MI Smart Band 4, which hardly counted steps while driving. But with the fitbit Inspire 3, it's been counting a few hundred steps every few minutes. It's ridiculous. Had I known this, I wouldn't have wasted so much money on it.

Considering Buying a FitBit Inspire 3
I got the Fitbit Inspire 3 a year ago and the battery has already died. It costs as much to replace the battery as to replace the watch. Requires a solder to do it and I am not that skilled. Apparently you cannot just pop off the back and put a new one in.
