Cycle 8 sleeper build

TKD Cycle 8, all foams used. PBT fans WoB. Keebz N Cables Ice Kachang V2 tactile. Filmed w/TX switch films, springs swapped to 68g long single-stage springs. Durock v3 PCB screw-in Nero stabs. This is a throwback to the first mechanical keyboard I used every day for years, a Filco Majestouch TKL wit

What keyboard and switches do you use for MapleStory?

Been on the same Filco Majestouch 2 with Browns for 10+ years, this thing is a tank.

Any substitute for Filco Majestouch 3 tenkeyless for Danish/Norwegian keys? Background:I have a Filco Majestouch 2 tenkeyless CHERRY MX Brown keyboard from 2014 which I sadly ruined at a LAN from beer. I love the keyboard and first wanted to replace it with an identical one, but I came across the Ma

Yeah, Filco and Leopold really defined that early mechanical keyboard era. This one’s likely from the final run of the original Majestouch before the v2 lineup took over. The plate’s even got a touch of rust on it — genuine patina from a classic 😎

Daily since 2014 and I still just love my Filco MT2 TKL (reds) w/ Vortex PBT double shot key caps (that have started to shine a bit now honestly). This keyboard cost me about $150~ in 2014 w/ the Vortex DBL shot keycaps.. have used it nearly everyday since.. still works perfectly love it still.

I just bought a Filco Majestouch 2 Ninja TKL for $50 on ebay. Cleaned it up and lubed the stabs (the spacebar was too rattly for my taste, and I don’t mind rattly keys lol). Absolutely enjoying it so far! Between this and the realforce r3s tkl I think I might be set for life!

For those who build their own keyboards — why do you do it?

Because there was no way to buy these pretties as a prebuilt or even barebones. There's hardly any minila boards and for some reason most don't have the split backspace of the original Filco Majestouch Minila... contrariwise most split backspace boards are HHKB which have a truncated bottom row. Is the wooting 80he a worthwhile investment?

I used a filco majestouch for 15 years then got a 60he. Two years ago. I imagine i will use that into the foreseeable future. This is all to say I think OP could easily use that board for a long time to come without purchase regret.

Sharing my personal Buy It For Life list for India; products that proved their worth over time. Add yours too!

If you're a programmer / typist, and are looking for a great professional keyboard, I cannot recommend the Filco Majestouch 3 Ninja enough. Got mine just a couple of months ago, but I've seen people use it for 7-10+ years. It's a Cherry MX keyboard from a Japanese brand. I got it in India from stack

Help me pick a keyboard – quiet, minimal, wireless+wired for Windows PC

I don't think small hands will make too much difference. The sizes and relationships between keys tend to be similar. That said, my wife likes her mx keys mini which is more like a laptop kbd than a full mechanical. Logitech have a low profile mechanical version of that too. I have a wired TKL Filco

filco majestouch 2 TKL was my first ever mechanical keyboard back in 2011, and sadly that board along with most of my possessions i had to get rid of early 2024. i really do miss that board. definitely a piece of keyboard history here. :)
