I know its hindsight, but the owner would hv been able to see exactly when the dog escaped, could hv made the sitter aware that they know and most importantly would hv known within 50ft of where the dog was. Even better, get a Fi collar. AirTags require the dog to be near someone with an iPhone, Fi is satellite real time tracking. It’s obviously more expensive but if your girl is a problem runner it sounds like you need it.

Get a Fi collar, learn to use lost dog mode. Keep the collar charged. And keep your dog on a leash. Not all dogs can run free but you can find a dog park !
