Maybe I'm crazy but the CC2 thing seems like it's fine?

You need a new toolhead board because the 1.1.42 firmware that included the code for this AMS system that was decompiled referenced a toolhead filament detector that does not have pins broken out on the toolhead board that is in the CC1 I mentioned this in the comments of the cable fire hazard post

Got a printer for cheap from a garage sale, any advice to start using it? It powers on at least

OP there are plenty of better options out there(with less to no headaches). And not all of them are bambu lab. Yes bambu makes "easy" to use printers, but so do other companies now. Elegoo CC2(and CC1), Qidi and others If you want to get into the hobby do yourself a favorite and don't start here.

Moving to Bambu

I sold my Elegoo Centauri Carbon this week and picked up a P2s Combo. It's night and day different in ease of use. I will likely get an H2c at some point, but couldn't justify the 3x in cost, and MicroCenter didn't have the X2D in stock.

Ams?

It's a very good thing you asked 😄 I'm an active non-fan of Bambu Labs - I love their hardware, despise the company - So keep that in mind when you look at these recommendations... The aforementioned Snapmaker U1, if you can afford it, is a great way to go. It's a 4-tool head tool changer, which mak

Extended Discounts and Coupons

Yeah, I certainly don't feel "robbed". It just doesn't give me a good feeling. Again, I know it's only 10 bucks but a deposit is a deposit, right? Honestly, I'm tempted to try and cancel and pick up the Canvas unit that Elegoo just released for my Centauri Carbon then wait for the tool changer wars

CC1 CANVAS Now available for pre-order

Yea, I kinda hope someone figures out a printable top cover as well. I don't really want to order a separate top cover from a third party or even from Elegoo if at all possible, which I'm sure won't come with free shipping for either. Of course someone could design a top hat to print, but it would b

Another nice riser for Canvas

to inform you this is the worst idea for cc1. the canvas system is incapable of helping feed the filament ANY strain thats added will go to the geardrive on the printhead it may work but will wear down fast and may make printing issues the setup Elegoo gives with the kit is the best solution reall a

Centauri Carbon (CC1) Canvas discussion thread.

Which was a huge part of the selling point of the centauri carbon. That's why carbon is in the name, lol. You are essentially turning your printer into a base 'centauri' (never released). I guess this is nice for people who only print PLA, but it's a pretty big bummer for those of us printing PA/CF/

Question about U1 Cloud Connection

I have used OctoEverywhere (free version) for Elegoo Centauri Carbon, but it is just too inconvenient compared to BambuLab A1... and I would like to avoid it for the U1. From what I have read from other comments here, PAXX seems like a great FW upgrade.

Used Centauri Carbon

or 285.00 new on elegoo.com I recently bought my used CC1 from ebay, and now I wish I would have just bought it new. It was in good condition and worked really well for about a month, but now it is having an issue and with the cost of replacement parts it would have been cheaper to just buy a new on
