Neighbor flagging interference from our network

Sounds like a them problem. I know I’m blasting WiFi like crazy around my house. I have nine or ten EERO Pro 7s around my property. I can get WiFi anywhere on my two acres almost.

Getting frontier… use their Eeros or my own?

Generally, it makes sense. Presuming you are getting 500MB+ speeds, the eero pro 7 is currently $300 on Amazon. So you are basically renting a $300 router for $50. Plus if it dies, Frontier replaces it, even if its out of warranty. On a side note, buying one on eBay that is Frontier specific goes fo

Just got Fiber and the technician said my old Orbi router won't work with the new internet. Is this true?

Can't say for certain about compatibility, but the Eero Pro 7 has wifi 7 while your orbi only does Wifi6 so technically that Eero will be better overall as its wifi mesh can handle more more devices at higher speeds.

New CHR30

Thats because its not available in your state yet. Im in PA, I switch over to 5G plan 3 days ago. As of now its ONLY available in NY from what I was told. It will be available in the whole fios market by the end of 2026. I didnt want to wait, went and got the Eero 7 Pro for 500$ instead. They will t

I'm out of contract. Where would you go?

I just started a 12 month contract with Olilo. £37/month for 900Mbps. Also added an upfront of £130 for an Eero 7 pro router expecting that it will cover a property that currently takes my BT Hub 2 extra nodes. If it doesn’t, they’ve said I can add another for the same £130. Bit of a bargain conside

Ethernet cable under carpet

It may be due to the WiFi access point you are using. You can lookup "bufferbloat". The symptom is when you have good ping latency when not doing anything else, and that ping latency degrades sharply when you have some heavy network activity on the side. You can measure that with some apps like anal

An Orbi setup is fine. Frontier just can't (won't) trouble shoot a customer provided router. Eero Pro 7 has wifi 7 and may be a better router, but your existing router is compatible with Frontier.

Best way to run ethernet through my vents?

I was going to run ethernet in our oddly laid out 2.5 story, but after seeing the speeds I'm pulling off of Eero Pro 7s, I am not going to bother. I get 1700 mbps up and down off my 2.5G fiber. Shocking how good mesh has gotten.

Wifi extender

FWIW: I started the $45/month 300/300Mbps plan at end of May (2026), and I expected zero or one Wi-Fi units because the T-Fiber website mentions "Wi-Fi router" but not "Mesh" or "Extender," which is reserved for the higher plans. However, the technician gave me two Eero 7 Pro units. I expected to ke
