Orbi AC3000 will be End Of Service within 45 Days

Crazy. I'm surprised because your Netgear Orbi AX5700 (RBK842) was released around October 2019. I have a set of eero Pro 5 purchased in 2019 still running. Looks like they'll continue providing security updates for at least another 4 years through March 2030 (https://support.eero.com/hc/en-us/artic

Altafiber Gateway Upgrade

Not sure why I’m getting downvoted for providing accurate information? Eero pro 6e is a $250 router so their rental at $15 means you’d break even in 17 months by buying your own. Orbi is not directly compatible with Eero, you’d have to switch your Netgear devices into AP mode and figure it out from

Approved list of 3rd party routers

Eero 6E Pro. You can get a brand new one for £99 on eBay. Get more than one if you want to extend the range and use the mesh facility.

SaskTel vs Rogers (Shaw) internet speeds

All new Infinet SaskTel contracts come with 2 Eero Pro 6e. That is what the "whole home wifi" is. Very capable routers in my experience. Haven't felt the need to buy my own for once.

Who's the best full fibre up to 1Gb for home use

I have 1Gb service from Plusnet, started at £29.99 … replaced the router with a couple of Eero Pro 6E (second hand from CEX about £70 each)… same basic service as BT/EE but without the bill shocks and with great customer service; I recommend. The Eeros get me 900Mb plus even 2 floors away.

Mesh WiFi help (UK)

I still have my ISP router (EE) in the box and deployed my one mesh. You can get some good mesh systems on a budget like TP-Link Decos or used Eero Pro 6E. I use Unifi UDR7 and a UX7 for AP which has full coverage in a 3 bedroom detached house. You can add more UX7 to increase range. I get close to

Which router or mesh should I get

As a technician, my recommendation is the Eero Pro 6E as the best option. Avoid buying cheaper Google WiFi systems.

Is it worth it?

There's a lot of options. You're probably looking for something turn-key. Just googling it, the Eero Pro line of routers has an "optimize for conferencing and gaming" setting, that automatically configures SQM under the hood. I suspect that your experience will significantly improve if you set that

What 3rd party routers are compatible with Full Fibre 2.5 Gigafast

I quite like Eero devices. Just grabbed myself 2x Eero pro 6e, but if you have the money you can get a 7 or 7 max.
