Eero

Yes I had this scenario I had Eero Pro 6, they only have 1gb Ethernet ports, so they are more suited to work with a 1gbps line. If you get Eero Pro 6e, it has a 2.5gb port and a 1 gb port, I ran my network like this for a while, it meant 1gb Ethernet and I got around 1.4 gbps Wi-Fi. I've since repla

Networking issue on Ethernet

Correct. It looks like the Eero Pro 6E has two ports built-in so the simplest solution is to just go from Internet (modem/ONT/whatever) to Eero and then plug a switch into the Eero’s second Ethernet port. Don’t introduce another router into the mix if you don’t have to.

Thoughts on TV + Internet?

I bought my own eeros. I bought a 3-pack of the 6E Pros. One on main floor, one upstairs where bedrooms are and one in the basement. I took the eero 6 given to me and use it in the backyard in my poolhouse. My wifi is strong everywhere, no dead spots or dropped wifi. I like the eeros. They are like

Grandpa Needs New Network

I picked up an eero Pro 6E on eBay on the cheap and set it up at my grandma’s house. It’s been running flawlessly for over a year with zero issues. It’s perfect for me because it just works without needing constant attention (I’m her IT support), and it’s perfect for her because she simply wants rel

G5AR and Eero Max 7 Setup

Download the Hint app on your phone from the app store, log into your router with it and you can turn off the G5Ar wifi radios. I have mine hooked up to an Eero 6E pro and it's working beautifully!

WIFI 7 Hub VS ASUS ZenWiFi Pro ET12 (2000 gbps)

I would suggest an Eero Pro 6E, if the mesh is going via each device I would set them up: Eero Pro 6E - Eero Pro 6E - Eero 7 If the main Eero Pro 6e is central it won't matter, but you don't want the mesh to go Eero Pro 6E - Eero 7 - Eero Pro 6E

Need some recommendations for routers

I would definitely get a mesh system now if you want something that’s simple plug-and play then you wanna go with an eero system for 1700 ft.² depending upon if you have Wi-Fi devices that can handle 6ghz or not if you don’t have anything that has 6 GHz capabilities then probably the eero pro 6 I be

Wired house: APs or mesh?

You're going to get different opinions. I install both standalone APs and Mesh systems for both my residential and commercial clients. I also do a lot of research on WiFi reliability and longevity. As of 2026, the eero Pro 6E are the best of any I have installed. They are more stable, have better qu

Setup advice

When I upgraded in December from 1000 Gbps to 2000 Gbps the engineer said to keep the 2 x Eero YouFibre had supplied and plugged the Eero router into the YouFibre hub so the Eero mesh network worked in bridge mode ( I had 4 Eeros). I did ask and he had Eero Pro 6e in his van, but he persuaded me the

Solid home WiFi

I install these systems commercially and in homes. I've done complex Ubiquiti/UniFi (5,6,7) stuff, Google WiFi, Deco, Eero, etc., you name it. As of now I rate the Eero Pro 6E the highest because of its hardware quality and reliability. However, the system is limited in the sense that you can't do a
