It's not as bad as the community makes it sound. Back in the day, if you wanted a custom board, you had to solder your own switches, build or program your own pcb, etc.. Now switches are hot swappable and mappings can be changed on the fly. The hobbyists have nothing left to do, so they have to inve

them giving up Icue is the only reason I was thinking about getting this keyboard. I like corsair keyboards, but they don't make anything that's worth me installing icue ever again. Guess I'll go with the Wooting. Not sure why their webapp is trash, They bought Drop and using they use web based app

I've replaced the keycaps with the: https://drop.com/buy/drop-ctrl-mechanical-keyboard/details?searchId=1a595610d0c25d60bea27321907ba2f8#details and even 1 year later, they're still not smooth. If it becomes smooth after several years, it's normal.

Oh. At one point I used program like sharpkeys to rebind the key in windows. But for the last couple years I have been using keyboards that allow me to remap any key to anything I want. There are many on the market. I have a Drop Ctrl and an Anne Pro 2. I don't recommend these keyboards but they are

Any standard TKL (tenkeyless) keyboard will work for the core on the right hand side. I have used an Anne Pro 2 and a Drop Ctrl over the years. I use the core on the right.
