Will you be able to keep the floor clean enough to use it (or get one smart enough to avoid obstacles)? I had a perfectly good robovac but I stopped using it because I'm really bad at keeping the floor clear. Earlier this year, I upgraded to one with camera-based obstacle detection in addition to LI

I moved to Dreame, my L40 ultra refurbished did absolutely amazing with obstacle avoidance, I just bought a L40s Ultra AE for my basement to replace a Roborock Q5+. Meanwhile my Saros 10 which mind you cost $1,500 new keeps getting caught on shit. Recommend getting the tricut brush (yes it's expensi

The Dreame L40 Ultra Gen 2 actually has the stronger suction at 25,000 Pa, while the L50 Ultra has 19,500 Pa. That said, the difference in real-world performance comes down to design focus: L40 Ultra Gen 2 (25,000 Pa): Higher raw suction power for deeper carpet extraction and stronger pickup of embe

I have an S4 Max in Home Assistant (not eligible for Valetudo) and moved onto a Dreame L40 Ultra (with Valetudo). The L40 Ultra has great Valetudo support and similar functionality that you are looking for, it also regularly goes on sale for even cheaper. L40 Ultra / Valetudo features with it... Has

Yeah, the L40s Pro Ultra is basically Dreame’s “middle-child” model for Europe. It mixes the obstacle-avoidance hardware from the AE with the edge-cleaning and detergent setup from the L40s Ultra. It’s not super well-documented yet, but early listings look solid. If it’s close in price to the L40s U

Dreame robots store maps in the cloud, not tied super tightly to the hardware. If the new L40s Pro Ultra is the same model and firmware family, restoring the old map is officially supported and often saves time. That said, a fresh remap is safer if any of these apply: The old unit had navigation qui

The main upgrades on the L50 Pro Ultra vs L40S Pro Ultra are: Battery: 6,400 mAh vs 5,200 mAh (longer runtime, less mid-clean charging in big homes) Retractable LiDAR dome: lets it get under slightly lower furniture compared to the fixed L40S sensor Minor suction spec bump (19,500 vs 19,000 Pa — not
