Osmo 360

As bad as the insta360 app is for 360 video, the DJI is even worse lol

My first 360 cam was the Osmo, I purchased and returned around Black Friday last year. Since it was my first 360 cam, I’ll admit it was all new to me. But I have plenty of DJI gear so I know the interface, app, and generally what to expect from DJI products. I just wasn’t impressed by it. The video

It’s even worse than that. Last I checked I’m unable to even do basic tracking in DJI Studio. So I use my Osmo 360 if I’m doing fairly simple things I’m willing to key frame. But take a hit in quality and pull out my old x3 if I want to do anything more complicated.

In addition, I found that the direction of the magnetic mount is reversed compared to the Action 5 Pro. When I mount the Action 5 Pro in selfie mode, the Osmo 360 shows up its display. I have no idea why. It supports RAW photo, even though it is not listed on the specifications page. (Why, DJI?)

360 is a much more mature software on desktop, app, and on device. I returned the Osmo 360 and bought the x5. DJI needs more time to get up to 360’s level.
