Devialet Phantom. It's loaded to the gills with DSP, small, looks great on a table, and sounds decent. You're never going to get a "you are there" audio experience with that room and your criteria.

Floor standing speakers are a bargain second hand as shipping is so high local sales are limited hence big discounts. A separate bass can, if integrated correctly be placed better than full range floor standing speakers where the best placement is for the stereo sound stage not for room acoustics wh

Doesn't get more omnidirectional that Devialet Phantoms. Sure they aren't true Audiophile tier but they sound great and are ideal for social settings. 2 or 4 in a group achieve fully enveloping sound that should have no "weakspots".
