What speakers are these?
Devialet phantom Gold/108. Gold was the old name. The 108 denotes 108 decibel sound pressure level each one can achieve....and you can link over 20 together. Bonkers

Purpose of expensive bluetooth speakers?
Some bluetooth speakers can work as pairs. Check out the Devialet Phantom if you want to see some even “higher end” ones than the B&W.

Which pair are better for music: The Devialet Phantom ii 98 db or SVS-Ultra Evolution Tower Black Oak?
Very different user cases. Devialet Phantoms ii 98db or the new Ultimate versions are full active speakers needing nothing else. From a TV they provide a fibre optic input and are great stereo solution and with the latest DOS 3 operating system the streaming services are built in again (where remove

What's the best Bluetooth speaker you've ever used?
Loaded canon, 21 guns. Bluetooth is great for keyboard and mouse, acceptable for in the car or on the daily commute but not for best audio sound. Bluetooth is included in some very high end speakers £15-20k and owners cast over Bluetooth to them and are very happy with the results. These speakers op

Can’t decide pair of balance, 2s or 8s.
Beosound products do not have clear user space fitting. There is a crossover between design, sound performance, purpose and cost. There are some features that may matter and over rule other considerations. All have Mozart as a platform. Balance have the deeper bass and are 360 degree speakers. Beoso

Stereo Receiver recommendations
TVs and Bluetooth headphones don't always work with a low latency. Most wireless systems have poor latency with 2 to 30 seconds delay. WiSA is wireless and typically 5ms with -15 to 35ms which isn't noticeable. Passive speakers and analogue active speakers have zero latency but have signal cables to

Devialet phantom II 95db-its worth?
Yes they are worth it, and yes either Devialet sounds significantly better than Marshall (I actually dislike Marshall). The two Devialet speakers are also significantly different from each other. (source: I worked in premium HT at Best Buy Magnolia for years and have listened to both devices). The D

Fun Bass exercise at Axpona w/ Devialet Phantoms
They are serious speakers. Genelec even more so than Devialet. But the point is, both use fairly cutting-edge technology to achieve serious levels of performance that are unmatched at their price point. Good luck finding anything for $4K that offers what the Phantom Ultimate does. Keep in mind: not

First "serious" stereo setup. General advice wanted.
It used to be possible to go to a couple of stores and heard most of the equipment on my short list, but not in the combination I had in mind as one store did not sell both speakers or have both set up to compare. Now, if they have them to sell they can't be set up or have to order in from another s

Thinking about getting Devialet speakers — but not sure if it’s worth it?
Devialet Phantom I 108db is a big step up in sound from the 95db and 98db Phantom II but also in the size, stand and cost. If space is limited and not wanting or able to go to rock concert levels stick with the smaller speaker. In living with the speakers they never fail to entertain, are not boring
