I do this with Denon HEOS. 1 x Marantz amp and a Denon Home 250 speaker. Plexamp on an iPad via a cheap usb > SPDIF output into the Marantz grouped with the Denon speaker. HEOS is generally a bit shonky for me, but I think the amps are generally poor on WiFi. When it works, it works well.
