Torn between a Legion Pro 7i and Area 51 - RTX 5080
I was looking at the 7i vs Area-51 18, but in the 5090 spec. I'm lucky enough to live near a Micro Center where I could play with them both in person, and went for the Alienware. The glossy OLED on the 7i was a non-starter for me. Looks gorgeous if all you do is use it in a dark room, but I need som

I feel like it's due for an update. What's the latest in terms of GPUS for this guy?
Get the alienware 18" area 51 with the 5090, best gaming laptop I've ever owned.

Alienware 16 Area 51 2026 Review
Pick your poison… IPS bleed or OLED burn in :) If you have the IPS version no need to upgrade. If you’re keen on getting the OLED just make sure you get the warranty and then extend it when it runs out for a peace of mind. Either way ips or OLED this laptop is a beast and you will be happy but with

Is it just me or does the new Aurora look subpar?
That’s because it is the lowest end. The new Aurora is the baseline of Alienware laptops, lowest price point and least flashy, it was designed that way. It’s more so an “entry” level gaming laptop, still good performance but it’s not the Area-51 which is the new flashy rounded design with all the RB

Refurbed 18 Area 51
I got the 16 Area 51 Certified Refurbished, as above, not a scratch on it. Works perfectly too! I got i9 processor, 32GB RAM 2TB RTX5080 and cant fault it at all, although I did get the extra 3 year warranty just to be sure. 3,024GBP all in, so great deal too! FYI, it doesn't come in an original Ali

We're going back to the 2010s. On a scale of -10 to 1, how do you feel about this??
I didn't buy these last decade. I said I bought if OVER the last decade. Who buys 3 Dell/Alienware laptops (each costing $4-5k each) in one go? I bought an Alienware XPS 10 years ago, then bought a Dell 15 R2 about 5 years ago, and got an area 51 a year ago. All top of the line. with zero screws The

Thinking of making an Alienware purchase
I still have a functioning Alienware Area 51 R1, and an Alienware X15 I use as a daily driver. While I will be the first to admit that dealing with Dell if you have a problem can be a serious challenge, it has gotten a little better. If you get a good one it will last you many years, my advice if yo

Okay I need urgent advice. Money is no issue. I love the aesthetic of the Razer Blade 18....
I agree with everything therealhappydonut wrote. I had the Alienware 18 Area 51 for about a week in June and really liked everything about it, with the exception of the display. If all I was doing was just gaming, I would have kept it because it ran cool and I really liked it. The main reason I retu

For those who purchased an Alienware 18 Area-51
I bought an Alienware 18 Area-51 with a 5090, and it's finally a powerful laptop (previously, I had an X16 R2 with an Ultra 9 185h, which I fortunately managed to return due to the very poor performance of its CPU and latency issues associated with it, which, in my opinion, was a major disappointmen
