What 3D printer do you use for your free CAD models?
I made myself a deal that if I could learn CAD, then I would "earn" a 3D printer. I started with SolidWorks and discovered that I liked FreeCAD better. When I felt comfortable making models, then I started shopping for a 3D printer. I narrowed it down to these: Creality Ender 3: This was attractive

People making fun of bambu owners
To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand the Creality Enders 3V2. The firmware is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the features will go over a typical Bambu owner's head. There's also the Enders nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into

What are the must-haves upgrades for the Ender 3?
First step is to look up the pricing of a Bambu Lab A1 in your local currency. IMO, the target cost should be 50% of that or less (preferably much less). It's not 2019 any more and we're not competing against wildly overpriced Prusa MK3's. The amount of printer and ecosystem $300 buys these days is

Is it even worth it anymore?
Firmware has come a very long way in the years since Creality abandoned these machines. It's worth loading up something modern like MRiscoC ( https://github.com/mriscoc/Ender3V2S1 ), cranking out a modern slicer like Orca Slicer and running through Ellis' Calibration Guide ( https://ellis3dp.com/Pri

3d Drucken beginnen
Anfängerfreundlich und billig beißt sich. Vielleicht n gebrauchter Bambu A1 Mini. Nimm Abstand von Anicubic Mega, Creality Ender und co., zu viel gebastel, zu wenig gute Ergebnisse (Dont ask how i know). Nutze jetzt seit gut zwei Jahren nen Anycubic Kobra 3 Combo, der gute Ergebnisse liefert und jet

Spring Sale Deals
There are other good brands besides Bambu Lab. I currently own Bambu, Qidi, and Creality. Qidi is my current favorite, although I’ve had some unexplained error messages and firmware crashes. Their Q2 is a very capable machine that produces very nice prints, though. I don’t think I’d buy a Creality t

My sovol SV08 experience
Yeah, kind of like how creality used to be in the golden era of the OG ender 3, everyone had an ender 3, no one had the ender 3 that creality put in the box - I get that and have been there many times lol, even this thermal runaway issue is fixable though, you just need to know you need to fix it be

Someone placed an entire 3D printer setup at my door.
Yeah, I'm wondering what brand and model it is. "It's a Bambu H2S!" - awesome. "It's a Creality Ender 3!" - naw, think I'll pass...

Is this self teachable?
Thank you for the kind words. I had almost no experience with CAD when I started learning FreeCAD when version 1.0 was released in late 2024. It was frustrating at first, but once I got past the basics, it became fun and interesting. It is satisfying to imagine a concept and then to hold a physical
