Similar experience here, longtime Creality tinkerer, I have a modded CR-10 and and Ender 3. I recently picked up a P1S combo for Black Friday and the level of ‘just hit print’ is a welcome change. The only “mods” I foresee are some dust covers and waste chute.

Absolutely, anytime. Creality is the real 3D printer experience, you will get to know it inside out while happily tinkering with it. I turned my 6-yo Ender 3 into a laser engraver using the Creality 0.6-watt attachment.
