Best air purifier money can buy?
See the AutoModerator comment. Air purifiers aren't good at reducing visible dust or pet hair as both are large and heavy compared to "invisible" pollutants like PM2.5. See the sticky post at the top of the subreddit and our other subreddit resources on dust: I need an air purifier for dust. What sh

Best Air Purifier for medically fragile kid with lung issues. Concerns Wildfire smoke, wood burning stove, pet dander, mold
With a 150 ft^3 bedroom, you need a CADR of 100 to get the recommeded 5 air changes per hour (assuming 8' ceilings). You could put something like a Coway AirMega ProX in the bedroom. On silent mode, I measured it at a CADR of 170, and there's nothing wrong with overkill. And it's probably quieter th

Coway Airmega Pro X vs IQ air health pro plus xe
It has the highest CADR while being quieter than your two options listed. I have one in my living room and it’s great, although it energy inefficient. It’s essentially just a modified Chinese filter fan with a grill. I also have an IQair healthpro plus and wouldn’t recommend it very highly. It’s jus

Has anyone purchased and tested the IQ Air Atem Earth?
Well I'm glad IQAir's trying to source more sustainable materials, so kudos to that! That being said, the purifier is very expensive for the air cleaning performance. You will need to run it at the highest airflow speed/setting. IQAir usually publishes Sound Power Levels, but for the Atem Earth only

Best Air Purifier for Allergies and Viruses?
So, assuming the ceiling height in your master bedroom is 8 ft., absolute minimum CADRs ought to be 560 CFM. Because your husband has cancer and you have allergies, higher CADRs would be better. The Smart Air Blast MKII has a composite CADR of 559 CFM, which right at the minimum. Its CADR is not bro

For the Love of god
Freestanding purifiers can't overcome walls or doors. You need one for each room or area. See Rule 4: Information For Air Purifier Requests. I don't know what you consider quiet. AHAM recommends Clean Air Delivery Rates (CADRs) should be at minimum 2/3 of your room's area. This assumes an 8 feet hig

Is this overkill to buy for a small appartment?
We would need your living room's length x width x height to determine good particulate Clean Air Delivery Rates (CADRs). See Rule 4: Information For Air Purifier Requests. The Coway Airmega ProX definitely has higher particulate CADRs and is quieter than the IQAir HealthPro Plus XE.

Xiaomi 4 lite does quite the wobble on 11-19 sqm setting
Yes, Coway has had odor issues with its filters, and still does. Then again, most brands have, including Winix:https://www.reddit.com/r/AirPurifiers/comments/1hht4r6/do_all_purifiers_or_their_hepa_filters_have/ https://www.reddit.com/r/AirPurifiers/comments/1hhtma2/horrid_smell_and_bad_filtering_from_new_winix/ B

One air purifier for large area with reusable filters?
So I can't make a informed recommendation without room dimensions. The only filters that will be reusable are the pre-filters. HEPA or other pleated filtration media must be disposed once clogged. Tiny particles are trapped in the filtration media, not just on it. Keep in mind purifiers aren't good

Really need advice for large area
Hello OP. Please see Rule 4 and the AutoModerator comment. I take it the 2,200 sq. ft. is split between at least two floors? Generally you need one purifier per room or area. With large open concept layouts, multiple units would be more suitable. Purifiers aren't good at reducing visible dust, as it
