Looking for a personal item-sized alternative to the Osprey 26+6 (Sold Out Everywhere) – Flying Lufthansa & Ryanair

I can tell you about CabinZero. I wanted the Osprey but it was sold out, so I reasoned the £60 for the CabinZero (with student discount) was about the same I’d pay for a RyanAir bag upgrade, and ordered their Military Bag 28L. The good: The canvas/nylon exterior is sturdy, they’ve upgraded the harne

My 1.6kg minimalist travel tech kit (remote office + holiday setup)

Mine is the old one but in the navy it has always had an embroidered logo with matching thread. The black and green had horrid shouty white labels prior to the update. It's a quality bag and it's holding up so much better than the previous one an Osprey Questa which fell apart within about 18 months

Long-term travel with only a personal item – backpack recommendations?

Cabin zero 28L or 36L (it compresses to fit ryainair/wizzair). They're not expensive, they're very good quality and more comfortable than Osprey 26+6. Osprey has thin shoulder straps that dig into your shoulders. They are also light - 700grams for cabin zero classic 36L https://www.cabinzero.com/pro

What are your inexpensive favorites?

😳 Oh gosh, putting me on the spot. I have the 28L, which is my workhorse. It fits under the seat so unless I need anything beyond my basic gear, that's what I use: https://www.cabinzero.com/collections/underseat-bags/products/classic-cabin-backpack-28l-aruba-blue I use the 40L bag when I know I'll n

Help me choose - Able Carry Max E D C vs Aer City Pack Pro

I see the latest cabin zero 28L backpacks having a laptop sleeve, maybe the devil that you know is more comfortable. The height increase of 39cm of the cabin zero to 46cm of the Aer is quite drastic and may not fit your body as well. The 50cm height of the able carry could be too much.

Choosing backpack for Ryanair travel

The Cabin Zero Classic 28 (or Tech) are the “legal” size choice. That are decent quality materials and construction with mediocre ergonomics. They will hold up and made for that. The Daylite 26+6 has been shown to jam fit in a Ryanair sizer. There has been a recent trend with some airports using siz

How malleable is the Osprey Sportlite 25?

I still think what I said more or less applies - the rolltop version of that backpack I saw has a side zipper that makes it no less easy to pack than typical half-fold. For me at least, the difference from that to full-on clamshell is already in splitting-hairs territory. That said, if the packing c
