Convince me *not* to buy the px7s3
I love B&W's headphones. Got the px7 s2 and px8 s2 You can't beat the build quality. They're lower profile and comfy as hell, super fun to listen to, and the ANC keeps engine noise out. I have no complaints, other than that I wish they sounded like the Focal Bathys Bose has ok sound. Wouldn't call i

Just join the Px8 family
I tried a pair yesterday that I could have gotten for less than the px8 s2. I still chose the b&w They look much better, feel much better, and are better for travel. The sound on the h95 was a little better but.. Nothing to warrant your nose in the air comment and eye roll. What a snob lol

Apple Airpods Max vs B&W PX8 S2 for an iPhone user
I have both. It is my experience that in use with 3 devices, they have very similar device switching performance. I know that’s not your question, but I’m just getting that out of the way. For your question: In the end, I really like both, but I think the Px8 S2 are more comfortable, and sound sligh

Returned PX7 S3 after 4 days of use, back to Sony XM5
I never warmed to the XM5s, not a patch on any of the three B & W headphones I've had (px2, px2 SE and px8) in terms of sound, nowhere near any of them in fact. In fact, the XM4's were far better than the XM5's.

My first time
I tried to make this point one time on Reddit…and got, of course, ripped to shreds. I’ve actually performed those tests. Double blind studies where we tested different bit rates, sampling, etc. There is a very small percentage of people who can hear the difference, particularly in A|B testing, when

I will compare PX8, PX8S2, and Pi8 against everything.
Sorry to disappoint you but there's no comparison between PX8S2 and PX8 against M4 and S2e. PX8 ans S2 are flagship the best of B&W. Sound, build quality, technology... M4s is a headphone to put in a backpack and go to the gym, commute, stay all day out of home listening. Px8 is a headphone to enjoy

First time buyer with concerns
I've owned 6 pairs of B&W headphones over the years, and the only problem I've ever had was with the headband on my PX8, which were replaced under warranty with no issues whatsoever.

HDB630 Pros and Cons
They feel INSANELY cheap. Way more than anything else I've had but the XM6. The plastic isn't good and most of them creak to some extent (even if it isn't noticeable when you wear them, and I've tried 4 pairs). This is definitely part of the give and take aspect of ANC headphones. If you want better

Getting lost in the codec and DAC discussion
If someone has a better answer please fill in but to my understanding: If you’re on an iPhone 13 mini + Tidal, the codec stuff (AAC, aptX, etc.) doesn’t really matter — iPhones only do AAC over Bluetooth, and both PX7 S3 and PX8 handle that fine. Sound quality differences you’ll notice are more abou
