I've owned these sets. The PX8 S2 is energetic out of the box; the recessed midrange, and boosted treble and low frequencies are how most consumer headphones are tuned, which is why some listeners will have issues with sibilance on certain sets. The PX8 S2 are especially strident; I prefer the PX7 S

Good luck. B&W essentially told me to kick rocks when I reached out to them... I bought the PX8 refurbished and got lucky with the price locally. Still a lot more than I had expected to spend on headphones at the time, and I've kept my P5s around in case a fix comes about...

I also having the same problem regarding of choosing Bose Ultra Comfort gen 2 vs B&W PX8. I'm a student so I might need to use a lot plus I need a quiet space to study, watch movie, etc. I heard about Bose squeaky quality so I'm not sure…still debating lol 🥲

exactly. Now because of this, I will probably have to buy the Px7 S3 instead of the Px8 even though they are about the same price now and the Px8 feel and look nicer from the materials...I would love the green Px8 but with this limiting EQ, I'm unsure if it makes sense. And I can't really justify pa
